Day 19 :: The Liebster Once again!

Eloquent Mind nominated me for this award, and I cannot thank you enough for this. I love accepting awards and the tags that come along with it.

Rules of the Liebster Award –

If you have been nominated for The Liebster Award AND YOU CHOOSE TO ACCEPT IT, write a blog post about the Liebster award in which you:

1.     Thank the person who nominated you, and post a link to their blog on your blog.
2.    Display the award on your blog — by including it in your post and/or displaying it using a “widget” or a “gadget”. (Note that the best way to do this is to save the image to your own computer and then upload it to your blog post.)
3.    Answer 11 questions about yourself, which will be provided to you by the person who nominated you.
4.    Provide 11 random facts about yourself.
5.    Nominate 5 – 11 blogs that you feel deserve the award, who have a less than 1000 followers. (Note that you can always ask the blog owner this since not all blogs display a widget that lets the readers know this information!)
6.    Create a new list of questions for the blogger to answer.
7.     List these rules in your post (You can copy and paste from here.) Once you have written and published it, you then have to:
8.    Inform the people/blogs that you nominated that they have been nominated for the Liebster Award and provide a link for them to your post so that they can learn about it (they might not have ever heard of it!

Thanks for the rules, but I am breaking a few of them. Random facts about me are all over the blog. If you have been reading me since long, you should know them by now. Being pressed for time, I don't read many blogs of late. I won't nominate any blogs as of now. Hence no questions from my end. Any one whol is interested enough can take up the tag and answer the question that are posed to me. so here they are

My questions -

Q1. If you had to give up one of your personal favorites forever (like a favorite fruit / food / belongings), what would it be ?
A. This question is so difficult that I am tempted to cheat! If I really had to give up(for a real grave reason), then it'd be eating non veg. Now that's one supreme sacrifice I'd make!

Q2. If you could have one superpower, what would it be ?
A. Invisibility!

Q3. Who has been your biggest inspiration in your life ? Why ?
A. Not one person in particular. I believe in taking inspiration from the right things that people do.

Q4. If you could choose to view one of the world’s most historical events, which one would you choose ?
A. Thank you so much for this question. I have always been fascinated of Shivaji Maharaj since we learnt in history. I would love to witness his coronation ceremony, confrontation with Afzhal Khan, Aurangzeb, his arrests and escape. Wait did you say one? :P

Q5. Tell us one goal of your life you are working toward.
A. Currently, trying to fulfill the goal of making some money!

Q6. Jewelry or money ? Why ?
A. Money. Because money can buy jewelry.

Q7. What is one song you cannot get out of your head ?
A. None. I am not much of a song and music person.

Q8. If you could bring back one dead person from your life (like a friend or family member), who would it be ? Why ?
A. My maternal grandfather. I loved him, I still do. I feel I could not appreciate him enough when he was with us.

Q9. Name the happiest moment of your life so far.
A. Maybe the day when Kiran didn't propose me.

Q10. A day trip to a big bustling city or a walk in the countryside ?
A. A walk in the countryside. ANYDAY!

Q11. And last but not the least, how long did it take you to write this post ? ;)
A. Considering I skipped a lot of stuff, I'd say 15 mins.

Award From Aparna

Look who's writing! :) Me!

Although there is a lot to update, I had to prioritize and get this done. Aparna, a fellow blogger has been real kind and awarded me with

I am so over the moon. It is wonderful to be acknowledged and given a nice award for all that intermittent blogging. Thank you so much Aparna, for following my blog and liking it enough to bestow me with this Liebster Award!

Here go the rules

1. 10 random facts about yourself
2. Answer the questions please
3. Nominate 10 bloggers with less than 200 followers and;
4. Write 10 questions for them to answer

Ten random facts about moi

1. I can dress very well. (Past year and a half should be excused) I have a good sense of what looks good and what doesn't. I can even accessorize. Conversely, I cannot put on make up or do my hair. So if you looked at me from toe to neck, I look good and then I am a total disaster.

2. I do not like too many people at a time. Never liked big friend gang, never liked family reunions. I like being on one to one basis, where there is real conversation and less chaos.

3. Keeping in mind the 2nd point, I hate partying. I prefer sitting alone at home (or close family) with a pizza for New Year's eve than drown the night in heavy dancing/ hanging out/ boozing (whatever comes with it all)

4. I love crafts. I am a crafty person. :) Glitter, sparkle, ribbons, markers, scissors - bring them on!

5. Probably you know this already, but again; I hate to cook! X-( I feel like I waste my time in kitchen.

6. I am not a morning person at all. Given a chance, I love sleeping till 10 AM.

7. I love riding pillion on bikes. LOVE!

8. I hate being asked which city I prefer living. I like Pune and Chicago equally. I love them both for different reasons. Mentally, I punch them in the face when they ask me this!

9. I still cannot believe that I am a mother now! :O

10. Hmm... what else?! I have terrible upper back ache.

Now to answer the questions that are asked

1. What is the first thing you do when you wake up?
 - Look at my sleeping kid and then pray that she sleeps some more! :ss

2. How do you express your anger?
- Depends on who I am angry at. Keeping mum, banging stuff, arguing back and grinding teeth are common ways. People come to know when I am upset.

3. If you had to live on a lonely island and take only one book with you, which one would that be?
- Isn't that a difficult thing to ask. I'd probably take an Archie's comic. Never got tired of reading that one.

4. An embarrassing moment/ fact about you.
- I have had many. The one which I can never forget is being knocked down by two fighting dogs in full p[ublic.

5. How much do you let your academic success/ failure affect you life?
- Earlier, I did wish I had better academic qualifications. But I realise life requires other qualifications than just academic. We should learn to free ourselves from focusing solely on academic and monetary success.

6. Do you believe in first impressions?
- No. First impressions may or may not be the right one.

7. What period of your life do you think was best?
- College time, but I';d like to believe the best is yet to come.

8. Do you live in the present more or brood in the past and fantasize about the future?
- I daydream about my future.

9. Your favourite cartoon and why?
- Tom and Jerry. Never ask why!

10. Finally Harry Potter or Twilight?
- Harry Potter, all the way! Twilight, No, Please no!

I nominate

1. Meera - Love her so grown up perspective!
2. Divya - A mixed bag of posts. Her style of writing appeals to me.
3. Nibedita - She is the latest one I started reading. Being a mom now, I can so relate to some of her posts.
4. Nivedita - My sis-in-law who blogs once in a blue moon. She definitely has a lot of potential. Why doesn't she update her food blog so often? Well, this should encourage her.
5. Manjula - This one's a food blog too. And how she makes me drool!
6. Nandita - Yet another food blog that makes me go crazy when I see the pics!
7. Preeti - A friend of a friend; her thoughts are so in tune with mine. I like her blog for what she writes.
8. Aarthy - I have read her blog on and off and liked. Would like to be more regular on her page.
9. Shaili - She writes her journal online. I often read but hardly comment. Her's is a direct dil se blog post (as she would put it probably) I like her bubbly, vivacious way of putting everything.

Well, those are all I can think of right now, who haven't already got this award. Hope you all take it up.

Questions for the nominees to answer

1. It takes a lot of commitment to keep blogging. What keeps you going?
2. If you had just an extra hour in a day, how would you spend it?
3. Have you ever cheated to get something your way? If so, how?
4. How would it be to live in a world free of men?
5. If you had to punish a person who's betrayed you, how would that be?
6. What special talent can you boast of? (Except preparing yummy stuff, you food bloggers)
7. Bungee jumping or scuba diving?
8. Which Bollywood actor/actress do you think should retire? and why?
9. Who can make you smile despite rough situations?
10. Do you believe in celebrating Women's Day? Why?

Day 16 :: Tagged like never before

Uma tagged me long back with this one, and I have been putting it off for later. Copy + pasting the rules. Please do not complain about plagiarism! :P

1. You must post the rules.
2. Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post & then
create 11 new questions to ask the people you’ve tagged.
3. Tag 11 people and link to them on your post.
4. Let them know you’ve tagged them!

Here are the eleven questions that Uma has thrown at me. :|

  1. Which was the recent book you read and what is your take on it? - Recent Book? Tee hee! Well, I did manage to read one of my favorite author, Preeti Shenoy's book, "Tea for Two and a Piece of Cake". Umm... It was nice. As in good narration. Story wise it was ok, I predicted the flow. But let me say, her first two books were better than this one. My personal take.
  2. If you were to choose between the Epic characters Karna and Bhishma, whom would you choose and why? - I'd be Karna perhaps. Simple, he is like me.
  3. Which was been your most memorable trip so far? Any incidents or anecdotes you'd care to share? - Las Vegas trip! Totally! Anecdotes are a secret. ;)
  4. Mountains or the sea? - Sea
  5. What is the one thing (dream/ ambition) you would like to accomplish yet? - Would you believe it if I said I don't have any dreams?
  6. What according to you makes a good writer/blogger? Do you consider yourself as one? - Leaving all humility in a box, I do consider myself a good blogger. Readers of this blog have good things to say about my write ups, and I am frequently at it. I think that's what makes me a good blogger.
  7. What is your favourite outfit? - Loose T shirt and Pjs - Yes it IS an outfit.
  8. Who is better: Sachin Tendulkar or Rahul Dravid? - I wouldn't know. Seriously. Not a cricket buff really. I'd say both.
  9. If you had the power to change one thing about yourself or your life so far, what would it be? - Ha! Rebirth. I'd change the entire me.
  10. Are you in touch with your best friend from school days? - I didn't have any best friend in school. Yeah I am lousy at socializing.
  11. What was/is your favourite subject in school/college? why? - Costing in college. I think it takes a good prof to make you like a subject.
Sorry for the bad formatting. I am brain dead currently and I am yet to think of eleven new questions.

Ok so here goes

1. You have your set of daily chores. What's the one thing you hate the most?

2. You are supposed to be participating in the next Olympics. Your sport is?

3. What would you rather do - learn a new language or teach a language to someone? Why?

4. What do most people lack according to you?

5. Do you have any regrets in life? Is it in any way repairable?

6. If you were asked to blog right now, what would it be? Not this tag, puhleezz!

7. You are crossing the road when a car screeches to halt. ACP Pradyumn opens the door and says "Aap mere saath bureau chaliye..." Your reaction would be?

8. Your favourite quote is?

9. If you had to meet your "strictly online" friend, where would be best place? And would you trust him/ her to turn up?

10. Do you have recurring dreams/ nightmares? Care to share?

11. Easy one now. Why? Why? Why? :P

I tag, N, Namratha and muhahhaha, Uma! (I don't know anyone except these)

Day 7 :: Another Award And a Tag

First of all apologies for being so late in updating my today's post. It was my Yoga evening and hence the delay.

umm... how do I start? First of all THANKS to Uma for being so generous with the blog awards. And also sorry girl, for not taking it up any earlier. Hope you didn't think I'd pass it!

So I get

Aren't they lovely? I am all smiles. Thanks really! Like blog awards function tradition, I am supposed to pass on this award to fellow bloggers. And I read only a handful of yous! ;) There is a sea of bloggers who write wonderfully, much better than I do! So instead of nominating people, let me pass this award to all the bloggers who are committed to blogging and love their spaces to pieces. Many people start a blog but soon neglect it, since they can't seem to keep up with the writing bit. Hence, consider yourself awarded if you are in the category.

Also I am supposed to write 7 random facts about myself.

1. I am weaker than I thought I was. Physically and emotionally as well. Of late anything hurts me and tears sting in my eyes at slightest provocation.

2. I can live without the television but not without the internet.

3. I forgive, but never forget.

4. I have many unfulfilled wishes. Some of them remain so due to my laziness!

5. I thought it' d be scary to mother a child. Now I am loving it.

6. I do not place trust in anyone easily. I am a doubtful person and will doubt even the most genuine intentions. Perhaps that's just the way I am. Ask KK.

&

7. I drink very less water. :( Maybe just like a glass or two in a day. On the other hand, all through the night I finish a bottle of water! :|

Of Awards and Rewards

Yes, this is mine now! :D

This is my first blog award! Uma, a fellow blogger, finds me worthy enough to be a proud recipient of "The Versatile Blogger" award. Thanks a ton, Uma! It feels great to be appreciated for something you do so passionately!

Well, this isn't just an award to be displayed; there's also a tag. :) I'm happy to oblige!

Rules for the tag :

1. Thank the person who nominated you for the award

2. Nominate 15 other bloggers and inform them of the same

3. Share 7 Random facts about yourself

And,

4. Add the Versatile Blogger Award picture to your Blog Post

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am no one to judge how good or deserving a blog is. So I am gonna give out this award to the bloggers whose blogs I really look forward to reading... In random order

1. Namratha : Her blog, Grey Shades has many more shades than just Grey! The posts reflect her thoughts so clearly that I can see Namratha thinking! Some of those thought provoking ones are loaded with sublime humour. She makes you think, she opens your eyes and she's never afraid to call a spade, a spade.

That's why I like her and her blog too!

2. Nandita : Nandita's Little Space is full of awesome stuff and still not cluttered. I think you should read her to know what I am talking about. Sometimes she makes me go "Damn! Now, how come I didn't think of writing about this?" :)

3. Nitin : He has streaks of journalistic writing. His blog is often related to facts and current stuff going on around us. Certainly not for someone who's looking to read for time pass. His lucid posts are out there making a point; there's always a direction to his posts - never diverting or random.

You can read him at I Am, Therefore I Think!!!

4. Phatichar : Calls himself Phatichar, but his blog is anything but that. The fiction he writes is mindblowing. Although I have not read as much as I'd have loved to read, I think he deserves it for those awesome stories.

5.  Preeti Shenoy  : She is one of my favorite authors! If you have just read her books and like her; you should definitely read her blog that is frequently updated - You'll fall in love with her!!! Conferring this award upon her  is like Tusshar Kapoor presenting the Lifetime Achievement Award to Amitabh Bachchan!

Why I love her? Her posts are full of optimism, fresh and interactive. Not only does she write wowsome, she also makes sure to respond to each and every comment for her posts.

6. Rachana : I can hardly believe that its the same girl who blogs here. I have never met her, but we have been chatting online for some years now. She is an absolute nutcase which feeds my innate necessity of being crazy too! She has blogging ka brain alag and chatting ka brain alag! I am not nominating her for being my online friend, it's truly her blog that qualifies to this award.

7. Aparna : It's been quite a while since she updated her blog, but she still remains one of my favourite blog writers. I hope this tag will bring her back to the blogging world. Follow this link to her blog.

8. Uma : Of course, she already owns this one. Yet, just to let know that her blog rocks too!

I am modifying this tag a bit. Instead of gloating about me as always, let me take this opportunity to thank all my readers, and I mean ALL! I used to feel a wee bit dejected when I didn't find overflowing comments for my posts and also that I never got any "blogger awards". But then, there came so many encouraging mails, praises and feedback from friends and relatives that I do feel greatly appreciated.

You know who you all are! Thank you so much for taking some time to write to me. It is rewarding to accept your good wishes and blessings. You have great deal of faith in me, and many expectations. When I receive such emails from you (often so unexpectedly), even when they are one liners, it makes my day.I do hope to continue entertaining you as always and bore you a little too. :)

Why do I read? - Tagged by Uma

Hmm... interesting question indeed!

Why? Well, let me begin by answering 'what'. As far as memory allows me to stretch it, I remember flicking through Archie's comics even before I could read words. Those vivid colourful pages were a bonus to V's animated laughter. I loved the goofy expressions on the characters' faces; they made me laugh. I guess, my eyes read pictures before they read words. Slowly as schooling progressed and improved my reading ability, I graduated to reading the comic instead of simply enjoying the scenes.

Champak, Tinkle, Chandamama, Panchatantra, Amar Chitra Katha, Chacha Choudhary, Billo, Pinky followed soon after. School library and friends who dared to smuggle story books in bag packs were the sources. I read these books until mid-teens. I was not yet ready for anything colourless and devoid of pictures. Soon as I subscribed to a nearby library, my reading horizon began widening. Nancy Drew became my first best friend, which was immediately followed by Famous Fives, Secret Sevens and the likes.

Romance with Mills and Boons was pretty short. I found all the books same and boring. In stead, Harry Potter's magical world renewed my enthusiasm. Sidney Sheldon mermerised me. The first ever Sidney Sheldon book that I laid my hands on was "Nothing Lasts Forver" and the second, "Tell Me Your Dreams". Both left me stupefied and I discovered a new place yet again in the booksworld. Many Daniel Steele, John Grisham, Jeffery Archer books later, I am currently into fiction by Indian authors and short stories.

Coming to the point: I am a highly imaginative person. Perhaps my imaginations are not always vocal, but it runs wild and weird. Reading books have massaged that factor in me. I don't read words; they just help me to build a pictorial story in my mind. That's why I can laugh better, feel the pain and understand many emotions that are portrayed in a book.

Like the movie 'Inception' where dreams are designed, I can architect an entire book in my mind. And if I happen to read the book for the second time, I see the same world unfurling before me.

I like spiralling in a world, which is created by someone yet enjoyed by me. I prefer reading to movies.  I believe I have better imagination than any movie director.

Reading brings me peace and stoical calm. It is my meditation and sometimes my medication too. It puts my swirling mind to rest.

In spite of the above, I cannot claim to consume books at the rate at which I would like to. I don't read everyday. Nor do I read everything that I ideally would want to. I cannot proceed if I cannot draw a clear picture. I am picky. I am finicky. And I am not a voracious reader. Compared to what other book lovers have devoured, I am at the grass root level. And perhaps I may not rise from there.

I read what satisfies me. I do not read because my friend reads it/ likes it/ recommends it. I cannot. I cannot read just because the book is a bestseller. I read it because it appeals to me in a certain manner. I have liked some unheard-of books, and I have hated some award winning ones. I have my own tastes. I shy away from recommending books since I am not sure if it'll please others or not.

One more thing, I like books. Physical books. Not Kindles and Apple e-book readers. I adore turning pages. I love searching for the last read page. For that matter, I don't even like using bookmarks. I like being around books. Take me for an evening outing to any biiiiig library or Crosswords with lots of books; and I will be forever indebted to you.

I would love to pass on this book love to my children. Hope that happens.

Currently reading :: "Indian Voices", a compilation of short stories, prose, poetry by Indian authors.

(The stories are winning entries of some competition that was held some time back. One of the authors is my best friend, Shweta Virmani-Mehta)

Thank you again, Uma for this wonderful tag. I am open to such kinds of tags in future. Keep me in mind. :)

I tag Nitin "Dagabaaz" Prabhu! :P

Grrr....Tagged!

Well, ironically, I lay a red carpet for this tag since after I put up my rules for tags, no one tagged me. Sheesh! So, Aparna has been kind enough to pass on the tag that came her way to me and wants to know what are the few things that annoy me.

Annoyance for me are those few things that bring my two eyebrows together and an audible 'tsk tsk'. Doesn't anger me... though it dents my mood for a few seconds to a few minutes. My list here in a random order:

1. Bad Hair days:

I'm a finicky person when it comes to how I look. And the major contributor or should I say the trouble-maker is my hair. I believe in being presentable if not made-up. I don't favour 'just-out-of-the-bed' look at all. And since I have a combination of frizzy and curly hair, having my coiffure as I like it is a herculean task. Grrr!

*And anyone who asks me where I perm my hair - double, triple Grrrrr!*

2. Driving a four-wheeler on one and half-lane-ed road:

In Pune, rickshawalas are the kings of the roads. They own it. But I still can't accept it. The one and half lane-ed road that I talk about is wider than single lane and narrower than double lane. The Emperors will ride their chariots in such a way that it feels forever. Moreover, if I were to overtake from the right, I'd risk a head-on collision from the on-coming traffic.... and if I were to overtake from the left (which I generally avoid), I'd run over a pedestrian.
Grrrr!

3. Drawn curtains:

A major issue at home. It annoys me to no end if I see drawn curtains. And my mom likes them otherwise. According to me, curtains should be drawn only while sleeping. Thats it. I like our house fully-lit, fresh and crisp. Mom draws, I undraw!
Grrrr!

4. Certain ads:

That Hussein-wala lurid Harpic ad that shows a filthy loo, pops up each time I'm having my lunch. And I go 'PIIIIILEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES SWITCH IT OFF'
And the only thing that beats it is Amway ad and its pathetic "isse saaf karo" WC. 'Ewwwww....YUCK! Thats gross!
Grrrr!

5. Over-enthu hosts:

I dread them. Those who enquire about the inane details of my life. They make it their concern if I don't have a boyfriend or if I've changed my shampoo recently!
And I'm even more petrified when they invite for lunch/ dinner. They keep on adding to the already existing pile of food mountain on my plate. 'Enough' and 'no more, thank you.' is naturally unheard of. And since I'm taught not to waste food, I'm often caught between the devil and the deep sea.
Grrrr!

6. Snoopers on my blog:

People come, people read and they leave...just like that. It annoys me with a tinge of sadness. Let me confess, I write for others and for me... and in that order only. If I were to write for a preset group of people, I'd make my blog private, wouldn't I? Blog hoppers I somehow excuse, but there are those who'll come here time and again and leave w/o a single comment. Yes you. You! And you too!!
Grrrr!

7. Parasitical NRIs:

Those who live off India and live-off India - They search for Indian stores abroad and hoard Maggies, ask their dutiful parents to pack Alphanso mangoes, find Indian, homely girls.... and they'll repay it by condemning everything that's related to India. In their fake accents, they'll narrate how their reality shows are superior than the desi version here. I do not disagree totally but the furour in which they defend their country is irritable.
Grrrr!

and a few more....

8. Unclean Bathrooms Grrr!

9. Eternally D-U-H behaviour Grrrr!

10. Loud talkers Grrrr!

I'd love to know what annoys Nitin, Jayded and Shaili. Guys, time to visit the 'create post' once again!

Drainex tag

I call this a Drainex tag since I sincerely hope it flushes out my blogger's block which I'm currently facing. Tejaswini had tagged me this in February :P and I, shamelessly, recalled it today and put my fingers to work, pronto! Movie trashin-bashin', wham-bam commenting freaks that we are-she decides to tag me and I decide to procrastinate, until today. So here goes.

1- Which was the movie that you had waited for with anticipation and turned out to be an utter dud?

A. That every movie I go to the theatres to watch, they are always "waited with anticipation"... and the winner here bees :: Krrish - as a sequeal to KMG, I thought it would be a good watch, as it turned out to be a childish nightmare. And recently, Delhi-6

2- Which was the one most ridiculously stupid movie you watched in a theatre and then thought that you might as well have thrown that money in a well for all it was worth?

A. Try your luck and guess! Hints :: SRK "double"-handedly screws up scene after scene with I-just-know-one-stoic-expression heroine(!!!), who is also so daft that she cannot recognize herself in the mirror. Which movie?? :P

Delhi-6 too.

3- If you had to be in a movie or a scene that you would want really really to be something that happened in real life, which would that movie or scene be and which character would you be?

A. I'd want to be Gabbar. As a kid I assigned characters of Thakur, Samba, and Kalia to my Grandpa, mom n V and rattled "arre o Samba, kitne aadmi the?" and to Thakur (much to my grandpa's irritation "ye haath mujhe de de, Thakur" and 'tera kya hoga kalia.'

ETA :: Ok I dint read the 'happened in real life part'. If thats the case then I'd want to be Akash in DCH.

4- Write three songs that would tell me what you lovvvvvvvvvve to do in your spare time...

A. They haven't yet written songs about Facebooking, no?

My three songs :

Chal akela, chal akela, chal akela... Taking the literal meaning of course - Go for a walk all alone.

Kitabein bahut si padhi hogi tumne - reading Kitabein, not faces.

Chale jaise hawayein - Sit on my terrace and facing the cool breeze.

5- Name a movie you actually thought was better than the book or atleast did justice to the book...

A. None. Seen HP, Devil Wears Prada and trailors of Hello. Books beat them anytime.

6- You are on a desert island... you found the island genie who granted you on wish that he would bring one person to join you on your exile... You have told the genie who you want that to be... apparently the genie isn't all that magical... he went to get that person and you are waiting for the procrastinating genie to get back with that person... What song do you sing while you wait?

A. Objection, Your Honour! Invalid Question. I prefer silence to singing songs. :D Ok, ok, don't raise ur eyebrows - Maybe first I'll hunt for a masakalli, write a msg to that procrastinatin' genie and then sing "kabootar ja ja ja..."

7- One song on your IPOD/mobile that was a huge hit a few months/years ago and the radio stations used to play every hour and seem to have forgotten all about now that you tend to listen to often enough

A. From the movie Metro "In dino".... I loove the song. even when they played it on Mirchi every hr and even now.

8- One song that reminds you of somebody or a group of people... Do inform why it causes you to reminisce...

A. DCH title song. That was the song that we gals were singing while gng to Shantivan on ST (n we genuinely believed it was no less adventure than gng to Goa like the DCH trio)

9- The one movie you saw most recently and which lived upto all your expectations if not more...

A. Fluke by chance - it was ok. at least it wasn't disappointing, like the rest end up to be. Can I mention Zhopdi ka kutta karodpati too?

10- The one song you have heard atleast twice today... either on the radio or the cell or on TV...

A. Me Shingapur madhe aahe. So no routine TV /Radio or cell. Mickey mouse cartoon ka gana suna lekin.

Bonus Question: In view of today being Valentine's day... Well it was when I started thinking of this tag, type down song which is meant to be romantic, but the lyrics make you think otherwise (There are a lot of Govinda songs I know, but try to think of a song not many people would know or think of)

A. Beeeeee lated Valentine, I shall call it. :D ;) I have 2 songs lined up : a. you are my samosa, you are my masala dosa.... I guess it was some famine struck lyricist that penned them down.
n b. Maine paidal se ja raha tha unhe cycle se aa rahi thi. Kiya ting ting ka ishaara mujhe badnaam kiya na - fm Hero no.1 And this person must have been kicked out of transport sector before attempting to writing songs.

ETA :: again i dint read the bracketed info and I ended up with mentioning Govinda songs. Sorry, can't think of any... can't inflict anymore tortures on my CPU.

Fun, this tag! Loved it, Tj! Muaah... *waitin to get bk and chatter endlessly. Let's meet up soon*

Tagging RULES!

Tag is in the air. And seems like every friend, not-so-friend, blogger, not-so-commenter, would love to throw tags my way; even email tags; given a chance... when they fancy. Hey! I'm not against tags at all... Infact I love doing them. Its just like a star being interviewed. hehehe.... But blog filled with tags one after the other, kills the bloggers' creativity (atleast mine) and the blog's likeablility. Really, tell me, who reads tags? Except the person who has tagged you... and the person whom you tag. The latter will read only after he/ she has done the tag, for the fear of suffering a mental block in case he/ she reads the answers before answering them him/ herself.

In order to avoid the above complications arising therein and to avoid running a risk of losing readers/ blogger friends; I have decided to define 'tags' by setting certain rules for them, for myself.

Tag Rules :

1. 'A month, A tag' :: As most of you are already aware, I shall do a minimum of zero tag, and a maximum of one tag per month. Period. All my blogger friends are equally important, so Emomails; (emotional blackmails) like, 'I'm your phrend, no? do this one too'; will never really work.
Secondly, tags will not have tagger's name... they shall be titled according to the month they fall in. Eg. 'Feb tag', 'March tag' etc.
Thirdly, if in a month, I do not do a single tag, that does not mean the next month shall be entitled to do 2 tags. So I won't carry forward the number of tags.
*In rarest of rare cases, if I do 2 tags in a month, no one can show me point number 1 and confront me* muhahahahahaha

3. My blog is not an Inventory Works sheet... therefore no LIFO/ FIFO system will be used. Doing the tags, which one first, which one next, will solely depend on whether and how I like the tag (and NOT the tagger), my mood pattern, my ready-ness of answers, bloggers' block, etc.

4. Bloggers are free to tag me, but not to nag me. So anyone can tag me, any number of times... though when I'll take it up will depend completely on me. So nagging def won't help.

5. The above point is reciprocative. That means, after I do tags, I shall only name the person(s) whose answers I'd prefer to read. There shall not be any compulsion on the bloggers to absolutely take it up. You are free to do it or let it go. I will not NAG you. There, Nitin's given me a Thumbs up, already! :) and those who want to flick the tag can do that too.

6. Except pnt 5 & pnt 6, I may change the rules, without prior intimation. :P

Note : If anyone wants to flick my rules as well, I have no probs with that. I won't sue you. I haven't sued Rayshma for 'a month, a tag'.

Feb Tag

Rayshma tagged me to pick the 6th pic from the 6th folder from my PC. Display it here and write a short story behind that pic. So here goes :

Yup... so that is a beeeeeautiiful rose in my dad's factory wala garden. It was recently clicked when we had been there with some family friends. My dad's love for plants, flowers (specially roses) is evident once you are at the factory premises. There are like hundreds of roses; singles and in bunches, but this particular one caught our attention - It had a colour that wasn't exactly pink/ red/ maroon; it was somewhere in between. And that is my hand positioning the rose towards the camera. (and that is my FAVORITE Swatch ka watch; gifted by Vinanna for rakhi a few years back) Behind the lens is my best friend, Pallavi.

That done, now is the time for me to pass on the tag to others. So I tag, Ajan, Mithun, Shaili, Dewdrop and Aparna and anyone who wants to do this, please feel free to flick it.

P.S. I already see Nitin, Rachana and Tejaswini smiling that I have NOT tagged them! :) :D

P.P.S. Ok, btw, it IS my budday today. and I'm expecting wishes. ;) and gifts too are welcome! :P

Tagged by Ji.

I had actually made a rule for myself, "a tag a month". And this is the second one in this month. I just realised that I have created a monster in Jinu by introducing her the ways of torture through TAGs. hehhehee.... Nevertheless, I'm all for tags and considering that this chubby lill' girl is an adorable friend, I shall relent this time. :)

1. The love potion you made tastes terrible. How will you drink it?
A. Pinch my nose, take a deep breathe and tilt the goblet into the sink!

2. You can punch a hole in an apple using a straw. How do you think that makes your milkshake feel?
A. All shake-n-up!

3. You've been entered in a shadow puppet contest. What's your best pose?
A. Behind the curtains.

4. Do you believe that forks are evolved from spoons?
A. Yes! Darwin proved so. The nitrogen combined with hydrochloric acid in the air mixed up with phosphorous and minerals in water eroded the spoon and it became the fork.

5. Your people want to make a statue in your honor. What will it be made out of and what victory will it commemorate?
A. It will be made of sugar, spice and everything nice. And it will commemorate my ability to accept tags and do them. heheheee

6. In the dream where you show up to school naked, why do you never go swimming?
A. B'coz I would drown, as simple as that.

7. The children are waiting! Please tell them the story about the bald frog with the wig:
A. OUAT, there was a bald frog who wore a wig so that he looks handsome. And suddenly, he saw a bald frogini across the road who also wore a wig to look beautiful. In feverish excitement he started hopping towards her, when a huge truck came and ironed it flat against the road. Frog died, frogini cried. Inky Pinky Ponky!

8. You have to dig a hole to China. Where do you start?
A. with buying a monstrously huge AXE!

I pass on this tag to Rachana, Shaili, Rayshma, Tejaswini and Nitin .

Rach - exams soon over and you fit the crazy eligibilty for this tag. Hence the tag.
Shaili - tagging her for the first time. Hence the tag.
Rayshma - gathered courage to tag my gurini. Hence the tag.
Tejaswini - is in a major galat phaimi that she's been granted the immunity to do all the tags in the world. Forgotten that I am back to blogging, eh? Hence the tag.
Nitin - hasn't yet done my earlier tag. But promised me he will. so you might do even this one. Hence the tag.
